Reflective parapet elements :
The reflective elements of safety railings are used in two types
- Trapezoidal in shape mounted on the parapet bolt connection screw and
- Rectangular – cross section, placed with special support of the upper edge of the parapet
The same types are used in concrete safety railings (NEY JERSEY)
1.1 Reflective elements type I
The reflective elements of type I are placed in aluminium plates 2mm thick, or in metal plates at least one millimeter thick, galvanized according to ASTMA 153.
The minimum average galvanizing thickness of the plate must be 65 microns. No part of it should have a galvanizing thickness of less than 59 microns. Each plate has two reflective surfases that have a trapezoidal shape and an area of 50 +5 square centimeters.
The reflective elements have a trapezoidal shape with base dimensions of 40 and 110mm respectively at minimum and height of 60mm.
1.2 Reflective elements type II
The type II reflectors are mounted on 2mm thick aluminium plates or 2mm thick metal plates galvanized according to ASTMA 153 Specification.
The minimum average galvanizing thickness of the plate must be 65 microns. No part of it should have a galvanizing thickness less than 59 microns.
Each plate has two rectangular reflective surfaces with an area of at least 50 sqare meters and minimum base dimensions of 45mm and height 100mm.
